Here is exactly what goes into our edible glitter, how we check it, how it can be used, and where to find the safety data sheet for every color.

Quality and testing
Every batch is tested for heavy metals, including lead, arsenic and mercury, and for microbes such as E. coli and Salmonella. Our edible glitter is made with FDA-compliant ingredients and packed following current good manufacturing practices. It is vegan, gluten-free, tasteless and odorless.
How it can be used
The FDA lists mica-based pearlescent pigments as a color additive (21 CFR 73.350). They can be used at up to 1.25% by weight in frostings, confections, hard and soft candy, cereals, gelatin desserts and chewing gum. In drinks, they can be used at up to 0.07% by weight in cocktails, spirits, liqueurs, cordials, wine coolers, flavored malt beverages and non-alcoholic cocktail mixers.
A little goes a long way. In a drink, a small pinch is plenty to create a swirling shimmer.
